Community Forum – Mental Health and Wellbeing framework
ACT MENTAL HEALTH POLICY UNIT OF ACT HEALTH AND THE ACT ABORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER ELECTED BODY COMMUNITY FORUM – ACT MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING FRAMEWORK 2015-2018
On behalf of the ACT Mental Health Policy Unit of ACT Health and the ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elected Body you are invited to attend an upcoming community forum, to consult with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community on the ACT Mental Health and Wellbeing Framework 2015-2025.
ACT Health is currently developing the ACT Mental Health and Wellbeing Framework 2015-2025. The Framework encompasses mental health promotion, mental illness prevention (including early intervention) and suicide and self-harm prevention. The Framework is a strategic, whole of government and whole of community document.
The Mental Health Policy Unit of ACT Health will provide a brief overview of the Framework and answer any questions from the community.
We are seeking advice from the community as to the suitability of the Framework for the community and any suggestions for amendments that the community may want to make.
After lunch there will be an opportunity to have an open community forum for community members to raise other issues.
